Vodafone Launching 3G services in India



Vodafone will be launching 3G services in India by Q1 2011 (Jan, Feb, Mar).Good news for all iphone lovers, Vodafone Essar joint venture is launching iphone 3g in India.
  • 3G stands for third generation wireless. It is based on an International Telecommunication Union (ITU) initiative for a single global wireless standard called International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000).
  • It enhances the service experience such as multimedia, high speed mobile broadband, internet access with the ability to view video footage on your mobile handset. With a 3G phone and access to the Vodafone 3G network you can make video calls, watch live TV, access the high speed internet, receive emails and download music tracks, as well as the usual voice call and messaging services found on a mobile phone, like person to person video, live streaming, downloadable video of entertainment, news, current affairs and sport content and video messaging.3G services will work in Prepaid & Postpaid both the connections

  1. I bought 3g device on November/22/2010 1(One) year Plan(Rs.7800(with device-In Chennai area-9884051075). He told that 3g come in India December 2010. But Still not come 3G in India. I have speed of 3g device maximum 200 kbbs always comes speed of 100 kbbs and download speed 12 kbbs. When will come 3G in india? Suppose come 3G in India how much speed come? Please reply me guys.

Vodafone 3G is about to launch 3G services in India within 1 months.After launch you only need to change your SIM card from 2g to 3G or remaining on 2g card you can change it to 3G and no need to change the USB stick.Then you will definitely find a peak speed upto 21.1 Mbps(accordind to the upcomming tariffs).

  3. It is a good that vodafone is launching service. But competition had to be kept in mind. Initially the rates would be high but then they are expected to decrease.
